This policy explains how The Meat Box handles personal information when you browse our website, contact us, place an online shop order or subscribe to a Monthly Plan.

Information We Use and Why

Depending on how you use our services, we may process your name, email, telephone number, billing/delivery address, order or subscription details, delivery information, correspondence, loyalty records and payment or transaction references. For Monthly Plans, the billing address is also used as the delivery address.

Our website and service providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, session information, requested pages and security logs.

We use this information to process purchases and subscriptions, take payments, prepare and deliver orders, provide customer support, operate loyalty features, maintain records, secure the website, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Marketing and optional tracking are used only where permitted by law.

Our main legal bases are performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, and consent where required.

Sharing, Payments and External Services

We share information only where needed with authorised staff and service providers such as website hosting, email, delivery, professional advisers and payment providers. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Stripe processes shop card payments and Monthly Plan checkout, recurring billing and the Customer Portal. Full card numbers and security codes are handled by Stripe and financial providers rather than stored in our website order records. Stripe may process information internationally under its own privacy arrangements. External services such as Wolt and social platforms have their own privacy notices.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies and similar technologies for functions such as the basket, checkout, account login, security and session management. These may include WordPress/WooCommerce and payment-security technologies.

Optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies are used only where the required consent has been obtained. You can use the site's consent controls, where provided, or your browser settings to remove or block cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the shop from working.

Retention and Security

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and any applicable tax, accounting, legal, security or dispute-resolution requirements. Different records therefore have different retention periods. We use appropriate access controls and secure connections where supported, although no system can guarantee absolute security.
